Saudi Arabia Participates in Iranian Presidential Inauguration

Saudi Arabia and Iran have recently taken steps towards improving bilateral relations. Prince Dr. Mansour bin Miteb, on behalf of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz, attended the inauguration ceremony of Iranian President Dr. Masoud Pezeshkian in Tehran. During the ceremony, Prince Mansour conveyed the congratulations and well wishes of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman to the Iranian President and the people of Iran. The Saudi Ambassador to Iran, Abdullah Al-Anzi, also attended the ceremony as part of the Saudi delegation.

As a gesture of goodwill, King Salman sent a written message to President Pezeshkian discussing bilateral relations between the two countries. Prince Mansour delivered the message to the Iranian President during a reception held in Tehran. Pezeshkian expressed his gratitude for the message and welcomed the Saudi delegation. The Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs, Eng. Waleed El-Khereiji, and other Saudi officials were also present at the reception, along with Iranian officials including the acting Minister of Foreign Affairs, Ali Bagheri Kani.

The participation of Saudi officials in the inauguration ceremony and reception signifies a positive step towards strengthening diplomatic relations between Saudi Arabia and Iran. Both countries expressed their hopes for further progress and prosperity in their bilateral relations.
