Lebanese expats in the UAE are still planning to visit home despite escalating tensions and widespread flight cancellations due to cross-border hostilities between Hezbollah and Israeli forces. Ahmad Mohamad, a resident in Dubai, expressed his deep love for his country and his resilience in the face of uncertainty. Several flights have been cancelled or rerouted, causing concerns for those planning to travel to Beirut. However, many expats remain determined to visit their families and stay connected to their homeland.

Despite the recent attack in Beirut, Lebanese expats in the UAE are undeterred in their plans to travel back to Lebanon. Ahmad Mohamad, who has booked flights for himself and his three children, remains optimistic and committed to his trip. Another Dubai resident, Elie Khoury, also plans to travel back to Lebanon, highlighting the strong ties that expats maintain with their families and homeland. These individuals demonstrate a deep love for Beirut and a resilient spirit in the face of adversity.

For some Lebanese expats, the situation has prompted a return to Dubai amidst the tensions in Lebanon. Jad Saade, who was on vacation in Lebanon, decided to fly back to Dubai due to safety concerns and the need to resume work. He managed to secure a flight amidst the uncertainty and arrived back in Dubai on Tuesday. Despite having his immediate family with him in Dubai, Jad remains concerned for the safety of his extended family in Lebanon and continues to stay in close contact with them.

The uncertainty and tension in Lebanon have left some expats worried about their return flights to Dubai. A Lebanese expat, who preferred not to be named, expressed concerns about her upcoming flight on August 4. She hopes that the situation will improve and flights will resume as scheduled by the time she is due to travel back. The ongoing hostilities between Israel and Hezbollah have created a tense atmosphere in the region, impacting travel plans and causing anxiety for many expats.

Despite the challenges and uncertainties, Lebanese expats in the UAE remain steadfast in their plans to visit home and stay connected to their families in Lebanon. The resilience and determination shown by individuals like Ahmad Mohamad, Elie Khoury, and Jad Saade reflect the deep bonds they have with their country and their willingness to overcome obstacles to be with their loved ones. As tensions continue to simmer in the region, expats navigate the situation with caution and hope for a peaceful resolution to the conflict.

In the midst of the ongoing tensions and disruptions in travel, the resolve of Lebanese expats in the UAE shines through as they plan their trips back to Lebanon. Despite the challenges and risks involved, these individuals demonstrate a strong sense of attachment to their homeland and a desire to be with their families during difficult times. The resilience and courage displayed by expats in the face of uncertainty exemplify the deep-rooted ties that connect them to Lebanon and their unwavering commitment to staying connected despite the challenges they may face.
