Yemen’s Prime Minister meets with the Acting Director-General of QFFD

During the meeting, Prime Minister Dr. Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak expressed his appreciation for Qatar’s continued support and cooperation with Yemen. He highlighted the importance of strengthening the relationship between the two countries and emphasized the need for further collaboration in various sectors. The discussions focused on ways to enhance development projects in Yemen, particularly in areas such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, and agriculture.

The Qatar Fund for Development (QFFD) has been actively involved in supporting various development projects in Yemen. The meeting between Prime Minister Dr. Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak and QFFD Acting Director-General Sultan Ahmed Al Aseeri provided an opportunity to discuss the progress of existing projects and explore new avenues for cooperation. The two sides agreed to work together to address the challenges facing Yemen and to find sustainable solutions to improve the quality of life for its citizens.

One of the key areas of focus for cooperation between Qatar and Yemen is infrastructure development. The discussions included plans for the construction of roads, schools, hospitals, and other essential infrastructure projects in Yemen. Prime Minister Dr. Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak emphasized the importance of these projects in improving the living conditions of the Yemeni people and expressed his gratitude to Qatar for its support in this critical area.

In addition to infrastructure development, healthcare and education were also identified as priority areas for cooperation between Qatar and Yemen. Prime Minister Dr. Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak highlighted the need for increased investment in healthcare facilities and educational institutions in Yemen. The discussions explored ways to enhance healthcare services, improve access to quality education, and support the training of healthcare professionals and teachers in Yemen.

Another important aspect of the meeting was the discussion on agricultural development in Yemen. Prime Minister Dr. Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak stressed the importance of supporting the agricultural sector in Yemen to ensure food security and sustainable development. The discussions focused on ways to improve agricultural practices, enhance irrigation systems, and provide farmers with the necessary tools and training to increase productivity and improve livelihoods.

Overall, the meeting between Prime Minister Dr. Ahmad Awad bin Mubarak and QFFD Acting Director-General Sultan Ahmed Al Aseeri highlighted the strong and enduring partnership between Qatar and Yemen. The discussions focused on ways to enhance bilateral cooperation and support the development of Yemen in key areas such as infrastructure, healthcare, education, and agriculture.
