In addition to fog, the country has been experiencing rainfall in different parts. The Kalba Shokah Road in the Eastern Region witnessed moderate rainfall, while light rain fell in Ras Al Kaimah. The weather department issued an orange alert due to the formation of convective clouds, which may bring rainfall and strong winds causing blowing dust. Despite the high temperatures ranging from 45-46 degrees Celsius, the humidity in the air makes it feel even hotter, according to Dr. Habib. The current weather conditions are influenced by factors such as low-pressure systems from the East Indian monsoon and the mountains in the eastern part of the UAE driving humidity from the Arabian Sea or Oman Sea toward the region, resulting in the formation of convective clouds and rainfall.
As the transition from summer to autumn approaches, temperatures will start to drop gradually, particularly during the night and early morning.
