As the UAE prepares for the arrival of cooler temperatures with the onset of winter, major attractions that had closed during the summer months are set to reopen. These spots are popular among tourists and residents alike, offering not just food and shopping options, but also experiences in nature surrounded by animals, all amidst the country’s impressive skyscrapers. With September marking the last month of summer and the Autumn Equinox approaching, families and friends can take advantage of the reopening of these destinations to enjoy the fresh air and cool breeze before the heat of summer returns next year.

One of the major attractions reopening soon is Global Village, known for its diverse offerings from various countries. The 29th season of Global Village is set to reopen on October 16, 2024, and will run until May 11, 2025. The destination has announced upgrades to its attractions and VIP packages, promising an even more exciting experience for visitors. Dubai Safari, home to over 3,000 animals representing a variety of species, is also reopening on October 1. The park has undergone major upgrades during the closure and promises new attractions that will be announced soon by the Dubai Municipality.

The Ripe Market, known for its wide array of food, clothing, and items sold by local sellers, is set to reopen on October 12, 2024, at Academy Park. The markets operate on weekends across different locations in Dubai and will continue until May 2025. Some attractions have already started reopening as temperatures have gradually dropped from the peak heat of summer. Glow Garden in Dubai reopened on September 11 for its 10th season, offering tickets for the illuminating garden and Dinosaur Park available for purchase online. Jais Flight, the longest zip-line in the world located in Ras Al Khaimah’s mountains, is also open after the peak summer months, offering adrenaline-pumping experiences with tickets starting at Dh299.

As the winter season approaches, residents and tourists in the UAE can look forward to the reopening of major attractions that offer a mix of entertainment, shopping, and nature experiences. With upgrades and new attractions being announced, visitors can expect an enhanced and exciting time at places like Global Village, Dubai Safari, and the Ripe Market. As some attractions have already started reopening, such as Glow Garden and Jais Flight, there are plenty of options for individuals and families to enjoy the cooler weather and outdoor activities in the region. Stay updated with the latest news on these attractions and plan your visits accordingly to make the most of the upcoming winter season in the UAE.
