The Nomas Center of the Ministry of Culture in Doha, Qatar recently organised a trip to Norway under the theme of “knowledge, literature, and the company of majestic”. The aim of the trip was to introduce Qatari culture and traditions to other cultures, and to learn about the culture of Norway. The trip included visits to various cultural and historic sites in Norway, as well as training workshops and exploratory trips.

During the trip, participants visited the Maritime Museum and engaged in a training workshop on maritime heritage. They also visited the Nobel Peace Center and attended a workshop on public speaking and communication skills. The programme was carefully planned to be comprehensive and purposeful, with a focus on presenting workshops in various heritage and educational fields.

Ghanem Abdulrahman Al Kuwari, the Director of the Nomas Center, highlighted the importance of investing children and youth’s free time in learning and practicing activities related to heritage, customs, and traditions. The aim is to enhance their national identity, discover and develop their talents, and encourage teamwork through trips, courses, and training workshops. The participants had a memorable experience full of fun and adventure.

The Nomas Center’s initiative is aligned with the Ministry of Culture’s vision to promote the national identity of children and youth. By providing opportunities for cultural exchange and education, the centre contributes to the development of young individuals and encourages them to learn about different cultures. The trip to Norway was a unique opportunity for participants to expand their knowledge and broaden their horizons.

Through the various events, training workshops, and cultural trips organised by the Nomas Center, participants were able to gain valuable insights into Norwegian culture and history. They also had the chance to showcase Qatari culture and traditions to a global audience. By engaging in hands-on activities and interactive workshops, the participants were able to learn in a fun and engaging way.

Overall, the trip to Norway organised by the Nomas Center was a successful endeavour in promoting cultural exchange and learning. Through a carefully planned programme of events and activities, participants were able to immerse themselves in Norwegian culture while also sharing their own cultural heritage. The trip was a testament to the Ministry of Culture’s commitment to enhancing the national identity of children and youth through innovative and engaging initiatives.
