The Crown Prince will inaugurate the 9th session of the Shoura Council on Wednesday.

The first year of the ninth session of the Shoura Council will be inaugurated in Riyadh on Wednesday by Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman on behalf of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman. The Speaker Sheikh Abdullah Al-Sheikh and newly appointed members of the Council will take the oath of office before the Crown Prince. Al-Sheikh expressed his gratitude for the royal decree constituting the ninth session of the Council and highlighted the importance of participating in the development process for the homeland and its citizens.

The annual speech of the King, to be delivered by the Crown Prince, will outline Saudi Arabia’s domestic and foreign policies as well as its positions on regional and international issues. Al-Sheikh praised the leadership of King Salman and Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman, noting the achievements and successes of the Kingdom under their guidance. He emphasized the Council’s role in supporting the Kingdom’s Vision 2030 and working towards sustainable development.

During the past four years of the eighth session, the Council made a total of 1510 decisions in 191 regular sessions, with 493 decisions being made in the fourth year alone. Al-Sheikh commended the performance of the members of the eighth session and welcomed the new members, wishing them success in their roles. The Shoura Council plays a crucial role in shaping Saudi Arabia’s future development and policies, and its work is closely followed and supported by the wise leadership.

The wise leadership has shown keen interest in the work of the Shoura Council, which plays a vital role in the comprehensive development process for the country and its citizens.
