The Northern Municipality in Bahrain has recently launched a tender for the development of Hamad Town Walkway 1211, in line with the Ministry of Municipalities Affairs and Agriculture’s efforts to enhance parks and walkways in the country. The project involves various tasks such as removing damaged sections of lighting columns, setting up new foundations, and installing steel columns. Additionally, solar-powered lighting fixtures will be installed to improve visibility and safety in the area.

Those interested in bidding for the project are required to submit a preliminary guarantee of BD 500, with a validity period of 120 days. The contract for the project will last for six months, with the opening date scheduled for 3 October 2024. Hamad Town Walkway 1211, which was opened in May 2017, is a popular recreational spot that stretches 612 meters and covers 9,300 square meters. It offers various amenities such as a shaded fitness area, a children’s playground with shelter, a commercial kiosk, and shaded seating areas for visitors to enjoy.

This development project is part of the ongoing efforts in Bahrain to expand and improve public spaces and recreational facilities for residents and visitors. By investing in the development of parks and walkways, the authorities aim to create inclusive and accessible spaces that promote health and well-being. The use of solar-powered lighting fixtures also aligns with the country’s commitment to sustainability and reducing its carbon footprint.

The launch of this tender presents an opportunity for construction companies and contractors to contribute to the enhancement of Hamad Town Walkway 1211 and be a part of the development of Bahrain’s public infrastructure. By participating in the tender process, interested parties can showcase their expertise and capabilities in carrying out the required tasks efficiently and to a high standard. The successful completion of the project will not only benefit the local community but also contribute to the overall beautification of the area.

As the contract for the development of Hamad Town Walkway 1211 is set to last six months, the selected bidder will have the responsibility of completing the project within the specified timeframe. This presents a challenge for construction companies to efficiently manage resources and meet deadlines while ensuring quality workmanship. The successful execution of the project will demonstrate the contractor’s capacity to deliver projects on time and within budget, enhancing their reputation in the industry.

In conclusion, the launch of the tender for the development of Hamad Town Walkway 1211 in Bahrain signifies the commitment of the authorities to create vibrant and well-maintained public spaces for the community. By investing in the enhancement of parks and walkways, the government aims to provide residents and visitors with safe and enjoyable outdoor recreational spaces. The project also offers an opportunity for construction companies to showcase their expertise and contribute to the development of Bahrain’s infrastructure while meeting the country’s sustainability goals through the installation of solar-powered lighting fixtures.
