Shura member Jamsheer passes away

Abdulrahman Jamsheer, a prominent figure in Bahrain, passed away at the age of 80 after a long illness. Throughout his career, Jamsheer made significant contributions to both politics and business in the region. He served as a member of the Shura Council and played a crucial role in shaping Bahrain’s political landscape. One of his most notable achievements was his role as Secretary-General of the National Action Charter of 2002, which was instrumental in the charter’s formation and approval.

Jamsheer’s career began at the Ministry of Agriculture before he transitioned to the United Nations Food and Agriculture Organisation (FAO). In 1973, he founded the National Import and Export Company, which later evolved into Esterad Investment. As General Manager and later Managing Director, he played a key role in the Investment Committee, making significant contributions to the growth and development of the company.

Throughout his career, Jamsheer left a lasting mark across various sectors in Bahrain. His dedication to public service and commitment to promoting economic growth and development have made him a respected figure in the region. His work in politics and business has had a significant impact on Bahrain’s economy and society, and his contributions will be remembered for years to come.
