The Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) was founded by the Ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, nine years ago to combat poverty and diseases, promote education and culture, empower communities, and foster innovation. The initiative aims to positively impact over 130 million people in the Arab region by addressing basic human needs, promoting education, and mentoring young Arab leaders. The annual operating budget of MBRGI exceeds Dh1 billion and focuses primarily on the Arab region, working in collaboration with 116 countries.

Sheikh Mohammed emphasized the importance of education in addressing global challenges and building a better future for the youth. He expressed the belief that true value lies in helping others and contributing to society, rather than material gain. The foundation of MBRGI was established to meet the significant challenges faced by the region and contribute to creating real social change. The primary goals of MBRGI include combating poverty, promoting education, empowering communities, and fostering innovation for the future.

Over the years, MBRGI has successfully managed various initiatives and humanitarian programs, including the distribution of meals to those affected by the Covid-19 pandemic. In 2020, the ’10 Million Meals’ campaign was launched, followed by the ‘100 Million Meals’ campaign in 2021, and the ‘1 Billion Meals’ campaign in 2022, which distributed meals in 50 countries worldwide. In Ramadan 2023, MBRGI introduced the ‘1 Billion Meals Endowment’ initiative to establish the largest sustainable food aid endowment fund.

One of the recent humanitarian campaigns launched by MBRGI is the ‘Mother’s Endowment’ initiative, created to raise a Dh1 billion endowment fund in support of education for millions worldwide. This initiative aims to show appreciation for mothers and their role in shaping future generations. The emphasis on sustaining food aid and supporting education through endowment funds highlights MBRGI’s commitment to long-term impact and sustainable development in the Arab region and beyond.

In conclusion, the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives (MBRGI) stands as a beacon of hope and empowerment for millions in the Arab region and beyond. Through its focus on education, poverty alleviation, and innovation, MBRGI continues to make a positive impact on society and build a brighter future for generations to come. With its ongoing initiatives and humanitarian campaigns, MBRGI is committed to creating real social change and fostering a culture of giving and compassion. The legacy of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum’s vision and commitment to humanitarian work lives on through the work of MBRGI, inspiring individuals and communities to strive for a better and more inclusive world.
