The Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center (RIPC) has recently introduced the Road Quality Program in collaboration with Riyadh Municipality to enhance infrastructure efficiency and improve transportation safety in the capital city. This program is a key component of RIPC’s strategic goals, with detailed plans in place for the development of Riyadh’s roads and streets in the years to come. The center has worked closely with 15 public and private sector service agencies to establish precise timetables for each project and ensure alignment with the approved plan. By gathering and analyzing data from over 200,000 current and future projects, RIPC has been able to prioritize re-asphalting projects and prevent wastage, saving over 16 million m² of asphalt through a sustainable approach that emphasizes traffic safety.

The focus of the Road Quality Program is on collaborating with Riyadh Municipality and other partners to enhance the quality of life for residents and create a sustainable environment in the city. By working together, RIPC and its partners aim to improve transportation safety and overall infrastructure efficiency in Riyadh. Through a unified methodology that emphasizes traffic safety, the center is able to effectively manage and prioritize road development projects while avoiding overlaps with upcoming infrastructure developments scheduled within the next five years.

RIPC’s role in the Road Quality Program involves overseeing the planning process and ensuring that project implementation aligns with the approved plan. By integrating data from various sources and collaborating with key stakeholders, the center is able to make informed decisions and prioritize projects that will have the greatest impact on improving transportation safety and infrastructure efficiency in Riyadh. By implementing a comprehensive plan with detailed timetables, RIPC is working towards creating a more sustainable and thriving environment for the city’s residents.

In addition to enhancing infrastructure efficiency and improving transportation safety, the Road Quality Program also aims to prevent wastage and save resources through a sustainable approach to road development. By prioritizing re-asphalting projects and avoiding overlaps with upcoming infrastructure developments, RIPC has been able to save over 16 million m² of asphalt. This demonstrates the center’s commitment to sustainability and efficient resource management, ensuring that projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner while minimizing waste.

Overall, the Road Quality Program introduced by the Riyadh Infrastructure Projects Center is a key initiative aimed at improving infrastructure efficiency and enhancing transportation safety in Riyadh. By working collaboratively with Riyadh Municipality and other partners, RIPC is able to prioritize projects, prevent wastage, and create a more sustainable and thriving environment for the city’s residents.
