The Culinary Arts Commission in Saudi Arabia has launched the first edition of the “Saudi Elite Chefs” competition to support talented Saudi chefs and encourage healthy competition among the nation’s culinary professionals. The competition, which began registration on October 20, targets highly skilled chefs who will compete in preparing unique dishes using local ingredients. The competition will feature two main categories: main dishes and desserts, allowing participants to showcase their skills in their preferred category.

Judging criteria for the competition will include taste, presentation, and technical skills, as well as a commitment to sustainability in cooking by utilizing local resources in creative and responsible ways. The competition will consist of various stages, beginning with registration and qualification until the final competition, which will be held on November 25 and 26 at the Saudi Horeca exhibition. Participants will have the opportunity to benefit from priority entry into other culinary competitions, receive an elite chef medal, and special invitations to forums and discussions related to the culinary arts.

This initiative by the Culinary Arts Commission demonstrates their dedication to supporting and empowering Saudi chefs while highlighting their talents on both a local and international level. The competition also aims to promote the importance of sustainability and the use of local ingredients to raise awareness of culinary arts culture in Saudi Arabia. By fostering a spirit of competition among culinary professionals, the commission seeks to inspire creativity and excellence in the culinary industry and provide a platform for chefs to showcase their skills and expertise.
