The BRICS Media Summit is currently taking place in Moscow until September 17, bringing together heads of leading BRICS media entities and other media outlets interested in expanding cooperation with the group. Qatar News Agency (QNA) is participating in the summit with a delegation led by QNA Director-General Ahmed bin Saeed Al Rumaihi. In a statement to Russian TASS news agency, Al Rumaihi highlighted QNA’s recent use of AI technologies in collaboration with Microsoft to align with global trends in media technology.

During the summit, the QNA delegation will focus on discussions surrounding the use of AI technologies in the media industry. Al Rumaihi expressed that QNA has several ideas for utilizing AI to enhance media work, making news and analysis more accessible and engaging for a wider audience. He mentioned that QNA received a Microsoft award for innovations in AI technology earlier this year, illustrating their commitment to embracing modern technologies in media production.

Al Rumaihi emphasized the importance of the BRICS Media Summit in facilitating discussions on critical media issues and sharing experiences on current technologies. He also highlighted the ongoing cooperation between QNA and Russian media outlets, which is based on bilateral agreements for information exchange. These agreements play a significant role in enhancing media cooperation between Qatar and Russia by promoting the sharing of news stories, analysis, and information to inform audiences in both countries about major events.

The collaboration between QNA and Russian media outlets is seen as a significant step towards fostering mutual understanding and informing the public about important global developments. The QNA Director-General underlined the role of bilateral agreements in boosting media cooperation between Qatar and Russia, noting their contribution to sharing information and analytical materials to enhance public awareness. This cooperation enhances mutual understanding and promotes informed reporting on major events in both countries.

The BRICS Media Summit provides a platform for participating media entities to explore opportunities for cooperation and exchange experiences on modern technologies in the media industry. Al Rumaihi’s participation in the summit reflects QNA’s commitment to embracing AI technologies for enhancing media production and reaching a broader audience. By leveraging technology and collaboration with international partners, QNA aims to enhance its news and analysis content and make it more appealing to a global audience.

In conclusion, the participation of QNA in the BRICS Media Summit underscores its dedication to incorporating AI technologies into its media work and collaborating with international partners to enhance media production and content. The ongoing cooperation between QNA and Russian media outlets signifies a significant milestone in promoting mutual understanding and sharing information on major events. Through bilateral agreements and participation in international forums like the BRICS Media Summit, QNA is able to strengthen its media cooperation efforts and stay abreast of global media trends.
