Qatar’s tourism sector roadmap on display

Doha, Qatar hosted an event by Qatar Tourism on October 7th, attended by Prime Minister HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani. The event focused on showcasing the tourism roadmap and welcoming key industry partners, ministers, ambassadors, and VIPs. HE Saad Bin Ali Al Kharji emphasized the tourism sector’s importance in economic diversification, aligning with Qatar National Vision 2030. Qatar Tourism aims to enhance competitiveness, encourage investment in infrastructure, and support sustainable development to establish Qatar as a leading global tourist destination.

Eng. Abdulaziz Ali Al Mawlawi highlighted Visit Qatar’s role in marketing the destination through global campaigns to promote diverse offerings and events calendar. The Surprise Yourself campaign was launched targeting families, couples, and groups of friends to create lasting memories with unique experiences. Visit Qatar aims to increase international visitor demand by showcasing Qatar’s rich culture and events through various platforms. The focus is on positioning Qatar as a premier, family-friendly, and safe tourist destination to achieve 2030 tourism objectives.

Looking ahead, Visit Qatar is preparing for an exciting winter season featuring international events like Formula One, activities at Sealine, concerts, and exhibitions. The Qatar Calendar serves as a guide for residents and visitors, providing information on event dates and locations. Engineer. Ahmed Hamad Al Bin Ali spoke about boosting overall tourism by hosting various exhibitions, festivals, forums, sports tournaments, and cultural events. Qatar promises a vibrant and diverse calendar of events throughout the year to cater to all ages and interests.

Dr. Buthaina Al Janahi expressed gratitude to the media and stakeholders for promoting the tourism sector in Qatar globally. The focus is on strengthening public relations and communication strategy to showcase Qatar’s rich cultural heritage and diverse tourism offerings. Qatar aims to collaborate with partners at local, regional, and global levels to promote the country’s cultural heritage and hospitality infrastructure to a wider audience. Omar Abdulrahman Al Jaber emphasized the importance of continuously developing the tourism sector and providing a unique experience for visitors, committing to excellence in service.

In conclusion, Qatar Tourism is dedicated to developing the tourism sector as a vital and sustainable industry that contributes to the national economy and sustainable development. The focus is on providing unique experiences for visitors and enhancing services to achieve ambitious goals. Qatar Tourism is working towards launching the Michelin Guide 2025 and the Qatar Tourism Award to honor significant contributions in the hospitality and tourism sectors. Qatar vows to continue its efforts in developing the tourism sector and fulfilling its purpose in achieving sustainable development goals.
