Liwan Design Studios and Labs, in collaboration with the Qatar Tennis Federation (QTF), have announced the launch of the Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2025 Poster Design Competition. This prestigious competition invites artists and designers in Qatar to create the official poster for the upcoming ATP 500 tournament scheduled for February 9, 2025. The theme of the competition is to capture the unique spirit and rich history of the Qatar Open Tennis Tournament, providing artists an opportunity to showcase the country’s cultural heritage on an international platform.

Aisha Bint Nasser Al Sowaidi, Director of Liwan Design Studios and Labs, expressed her excitement for the collaboration with QTF, stating that the competition aims to support local creatives in reaching new heights while fostering a greater appreciation for tennis within the cultural community in Qatar. The winning design will be prominently featured in promoting the tournament and integrated into various merchandising efforts, offering the artist valuable exposure on an international stage.

The Qatar ExxonMobil Open, which commenced in 1993, has seen the participation of top tennis stars over the years, with its recent elevation to an ATP 500 tournament marking a significant milestone. Secretary General Tariq Zainal of QTF highlighted the competition as a celebration of this achievement, aiming to support local artists in showcasing their interpretations of the prestigious event. The competition is open to all Qatari and Qatar-based artists, with submissions required to capture the essence of the Qatar Open while reflecting the cultural pride of the country.

The Winner Prize of QR10,000 is being presented by the Qatar Tennis Federation to the artist with the winning design, acknowledging their creative contribution. Artists interested in participating can submit their designs in high-resolution digital format suitable for printing by the deadline of November 17, 2024. Submissions can be sent via email to [email protected] or through the Liwan Design Studios and Labs website at liwan.org.qa, including the artist’s name, contact information, and a brief description of the design concept.

For more information on the competition and submission guidelines, individuals can visit www.liwan.org.qa or contact the organizers directly at [email protected] The collaboration between Liwan Design Studios and Labs and QTF presents a unique opportunity for local artists to gain international exposure and showcase their talent on a prestigious platform like the Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2025 Poster Design Competition.
