The Ministry of Interior, in partnership with the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning, is taking steps to process housing service applications for individuals included in the royal pardon and beneficiaries of alternative penalties. This initiative comes after a recent royal pardon granted to several inmates, with the approval of the Cabinet led by His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa. The main objective is to ensure that these individuals can access housing services in accordance with relevant regulations and laws.

The General Directorate of Verdict Enforcement and Alternative Sentencing at the Ministry of Interior is currently compiling a list of those eligible for the royal pardon and alternative penalties. This list will then be submitted to the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning for evaluation based on specific criteria. This process will enable eligible individuals to receive housing services where applicable. Various mechanisms have been put in place to cater to different categories, with the aim of extending housing benefits to as many individuals as possible.

The directorate has confirmed that all necessary procedures for the beneficiaries have been completed, and non-objection certificates have been issued. This allows them to access the designated housing services without any hindrances. The collaboration between the two ministries underscores the commitment to ensuring that individuals granted a royal pardon or alternative penalties can benefit from housing services, helping them reintegrate into society successfully.

It is a significant step towards providing support and opportunities for individuals who may have faced challenges in the past. By facilitating access to housing services, the government is assisting in their reintegration process and helping them build a stable and secure future. This initiative reflects a commitment to social welfare and inclusivity, ensuring that all individuals have access to fundamental services and resources that can aid in their rehabilitation and growth.

Overall, the collaboration between the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Housing and Urban Planning in processing housing service applications for beneficiaries of the royal pardon and alternative penalties demonstrates a proactive approach to supporting individuals in need. By streamlining the process and ensuring that all eligible individuals receive the necessary support, the government is playing a crucial role in fostering a more inclusive and supportive society. This initiative highlights the commitment of the Bahraini government to prioritize social welfare and provide opportunities for all citizens to thrive and contribute positively to society.
