Preity Zinta set to make an appearance at Cannes after a long hiatus – News

Actress Preity Zinta is set to make a comeback at the Cannes Film Festival after a long hiatus. The Dil Se.. star was recently spotted at the Mumbai airport en route to the prestigious event, where she will once again walk the red carpet. Preity first made her Cannes debut in 2006, attending the premiers of two films and receiving praise for her fashion sense. In 2013, she returned to Cannes as the brand ambassador of luxury watch brand Chopard.

The 77th edition of the Cannes Film Festival, which started on May 14 and will run until May 25, has already seen the presence of Indian stars like Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Aditi Rao Hydari. While Aishwarya received attention for her glamorous appearances, Aditi is expected to grace the iconic red carpet soon. Kiara Advani also made an appearance at Cannes this year, although she did not walk the red carpet; instead, she took part in various panel discussions.

On the work front, Preity Zinta is gearing up for her return to the silver screen with the film Lahore 1947, starring opposite Sunny Deol. The film, officially announced last October, has garnered attention for its star-studded cast and intriguing storyline. Alongside Preity and Sunny, veteran actor Shabana Azmi and Ali Fazal have joined the cast in pivotal roles. In addition, the movie will mark Sunny Deol sharing screen space with his elder son Karan Deol.

In conclusion, Preity Zinta’s upcoming appearance at the Cannes Film Festival is generating excitement among fans and industry insiders alike. Her return to the red carpet after several years is eagerly anticipated, and her previous outings at the festival have been memorable for her impeccable style choices.
