Over 60,000 teachers are gearing up to return to schools in Oman for the 2024/2025 session. The students, on the other hand, will make their way back to classrooms starting on September 1. Every single member of the teaching staff, including supervisors, educational and administrative personnel, and support staff will be resuming their duties in preparation for the new academic year. This year, the number of teachers in government schools has reached an impressive 61,195, with an Omanisation rate of 87.6 percent. These teachers are spread out across 1,269 schools in the country.

In addition to the teachers, there are also administrators and technicians who play a crucial role in keeping schools running smoothly. Furthermore, there are also teachers in special education schools, with a total of 220 male and female teachers and an Omanisation rate of 93%. The Sultanate of Oman takes great pride in the education sector and is dedicated to providing quality education to its students.

In the previous academic year, more than 700,000 students were enrolled in various educational directorates across Oman. This number highlights the importance that Oman places on education and the commitment to providing access to education for all. The high number of students also showcases the hard work and dedication of the teaching staff who work tirelessly to ensure that each student receives a quality education. As schools gear up to welcome students back into their classrooms, the focus will be on creating a safe and conducive learning environment for all.

With the new academic year just around the corner, schools in Oman are preparing to welcome students back after the summer break. The teachers, administrators, and support staff have been working diligently to ensure that everything is in place for the students’ return. The government schools in Oman have a high percentage of Omanisation, with 87.6% of teachers being locals. This not only provides job opportunities for Omani citizens but also ensures that the education system reflects the local culture and values.

Special education is also a priority in Oman, with 220 male and female teachers specializing in this area with an Omanisation rate of 93%. This reflects the commitment of the government to cater to the needs of all students, regardless of their abilities. The educational system in Oman continues to evolve and adapt to meet the changing needs of students in the 21st century. With over 1,200 schools across the country, the teachers and staff play a crucial role in shaping the future of Oman by providing quality education to its youth.

As the new academic year begins, the focus will be on providing a safe and nurturing environment for students to learn and grow. The government of Oman is dedicated to investing in education and ensuring that all students have access to quality education. The high number of teachers, administrators, and support staff in government schools reflects the commitment of Oman to providing a strong educational foundation for its youth. The teachers who are returning to schools this year are ready to inspire and empower the next generation of leaders in Oman.
