Omani Women’s Day: Her Highness the Honourable Lady visits a school in Seeb

Her Highness the Honourable Lady, the Spouse of His Majesty the Sultan, recently paid a visit to the Jawharat Muscat Basic Education School for Girls in the Wilayat of A’Seeb. The visit was made in honor of Omani Women’s Day and aimed at gaining insights into the institution’s efforts while meeting with the teaching staff and students. Upon arrival, she was welcomed by Dr. Madiha Ahmed Al Shaibani, Minister of Education, and Sayyida Sana Hamad Al Busaidi, Adviser to the Minister of Education.

During her visit, Her Highness was given a detailed overview of the school, its achievements in education, its role as a cultural hub, and a center for awareness. She then toured various departments within the school and observed the various programs and activities designed to enhance the students’ cognitive abilities. Additionally, she visited an educational exhibition showcasing research and artistic works by the students, as well as models of programs implemented by the staff. Visual presentations on artificial intelligence (AI) and digital programs were also witnessed by Her Highness.

As part of the visit, Her Highness attended a class and explored the science lab, engaging with both educators and students from different schools in Muscat Governorate. Discussions were held regarding various initiatives and achievements in education, academic development, cognitive skills, and community cultural awareness. The meeting provided a platform for sharing insights and fostering collaboration in the field of education.

Towards the end of the visit, Her Highness had the opportunity to sign the school’s Visitors Book, marking the significance of her visit to Jawharat Muscat Basic Education School for Girls. Such visits serve as a testament to the commitment towards education and the empowerment of women in Oman. The engagement with the educational community showcases the importance of continuous efforts in enhancing educational standards and fostering a culture of learning and growth.
