Omani women have come a long way in society and have enjoyed a prestigious position, being recognized as partners in sustainable development. The late Sultan Qaboos bin Said bin Taimur honored them by allocating a day to celebrate their contributions, which is the 17th of October of every year. Today, Omani women are pioneers in affirming their vital role, inspired by the support of the wise leadership of His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik. Statistics indicate the increasing number of Omani women employees in various sectors, showcasing their significant presence in society.

Manal Al-Maashari, Headmaster of Al Shawamekh Basic Education School, emphasized the importance of enhancing the status and capabilities of Omani women, as they are fundamental pillars for the Omani renaissance. Women have held many leadership positions and have had a real impact in the development of society, serving the country alongside men. Halima Al Shehhi, Headmaster of Lima Primary School in Musandam Governorate, highlighted the pride Omani women feel for their belonging to the country and the care and status they enjoy in all educational and practical aspects.

Nawal Al Farsi, Headmaster of Al Falak Primary School, mentioned the challenges Omani women faced in the beginning of the Renaissance era but acknowledged the government’s support in overcoming obstacles.

Maryam Al Fayoumi, Headmaster of Al Firdaws Private School, praised the government’s empowerment of Omani women by providing equal opportunities in education, work, and political participation. The government plays a major role in overcoming challenges faced by women through economic empowerment programs, flexible work environments, initiatives supporting leadership and entrepreneurship, and training programs. Omani women have witnessed remarkable development over the past decades, contributing to various fields and becoming an integral part of the decision-making process.

Intisar Al Wahaibi, an Arabic language teacher, highlighted the increased contribution of Omani women in various fields, supported by reforms in their legal and social conditions, strengthening their position in society.
