Oman and Romania conduct political discussions

The 4th session of political consultations between the Sultanate of Oman and the Republic of Romania took place in Bucharest on Monday. Sheikh Khalifa Ali Al Harthy, Undersecretary of the Foreign Ministry for Political Affairs, led the Omani delegation, while Traian Laurențiu Hristea, Secretary of State for Global Affairs and Diplomatic Strategies of Romania, led the Romanian side. The discussions covered a wide range of topics including investment, commercial exchange, education, and information technology. The two sides also explored the possibility of establishing a direct flight route between Muscat and Bucharest.

The session was attended by Florin Marius Tacu, Ambassador of Romania to Oman, along with officials from both countries. The discussions between Al Harthy and Dan Dragoș Drăgan, Secretary of State in the Ministry of Energy in Romania, focused on various aspects of bilateral cooperation between the two countries. This included discussions on potential areas for collaboration in the energy sector.

The meeting emphasized the strong and friendly relations between Oman and Romania, and highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation in various fields. Both sides expressed their commitment to further strengthening their ties and exploring new opportunities for cooperation. The session also provided an opportunity for the two sides to exchange views on regional and international issues of mutual interest.

The discussions on opening a direct flight route between Muscat and Bucharest reflect the efforts of both countries to improve connectivity and facilitate travel between the two nations.
