October sees decrease in petrol prices in the UAE: Here’s the cost of filling up your tank

The UAE announced the fuel prices for October 2024, with prices being determined based on the global price of oil and operational costs. The Ministry of Energy sets the prices every month, adjusting them accordingly. The Fuel Prices Monitoring Committee decreased rates by up to 24 fils per litre compared to September. The new prices, effective from October 1, are as follows: Super 98 petrol at Dh2.66, Special 95 petrol at Dh2.54, and E-plus 91 petrol at Dh2.47 per litre. This means that getting a full tank of petrol in October will cost between Dh12.24 and Dh17.76 less than in September.

For compact cars with an average fuel tank capacity of 51 litres, the cost of a full tank in October is estimated to be Dh135.66 for Super 98, Dh129.54 for Special 95, and Dh125.97 for E-plus 91. Sedans, with an average tank capacity of 62 litres, will have a full tank cost of Dh164.92 for Super 98, Dh157.48 for Special 95, and Dh153.14 for E-plus 91 in October. SUVs, with an average tank capacity of 74 litres, are projected to have a full tank cost of Dh196.84 for Super 98, Dh187.96 for Special 95, and Dh182.78 for E-plus 91 in October.
