Emirati Women Achievers (EWA) Initiative has recently launched the Impact Hub, a program aimed at empowering Emirati women to lead the nation’s economic and cultural growth. This initiative emerged from the inspiration of remarkable Emirati women who have made significant strides in various sectors. The Impact Hub seeks to provide women with the knowledge, skills, connections, and resources needed to advance in their respective fields.

The Impact Hub offers various tracks, including a Conscious Investor Fellowship to train investors in emerging technologies, networking events, and an Ambassadorship track focused on advancing Emirati women leaders. This initiative is a result of the collaboration between startAD and Tamkeen, uncovering and amplifying the stories of Emirati women to empower them further. The ultimate goal is to advance 300 EWA leaders over the next five years.

The foundation of the Impact Hub is deeply rooted in the visionary leadership of Sheikha Fatima, who has been a driving force in promoting education for Emirati women. The National Strategy for the Empowerment of Emirati Women 2023-2031 further showcases Sheikha Fatima’s commitment to advancing women’s roles across various sectors. The Impact Hub aims to create global success stories by launching key projects focused on internationalisation strategies and connecting women entrepreneurs with international investors.

The Conscious Investor Fellowship Programme aims to train Emirati female investors to prioritize social sectors, such as education and food security, to drive both economic and social impact. Less than two percent of startup investments in the MENA region went to women-led businesses last year, highlighting the need for investment in female-founded startups. The Impact Hub also plans to host networking events to foster a community of professionals, leaders, mentors, and investors.

As the Impact Hub for Emirati Women Achievers continues to grow, partnerships with government bodies and corporate entities are crucial to its success. Collaborating with those who share the vision of empowering Emirati women to lead on a global scale is essential for building a future where Emirati women can thrive, innovate, and lead. The Impact Hub stands as a pioneering initiative for Emirati women, by Emirati women, and for Emirati women, fostering a legacy of empowerment and success in the UAE.
