New Emojis that are More Relatable Coming to Smartphones in 2025 – News

In a recent report by CNN, it was revealed that smartphone and computer users can expect a new set of emojis next year. Among the new additions is an exhausted face with bags under its eyes, a symbol that many have been eagerly awaiting. This emoji, which won the title of “most anticipated” at the World Emoji Awards, reflects the tiredness that many people feel in today’s fast-paced world. It captures over 60 per cent of the vote, showing the collective desire for a digital representation of burnout that will soon be available for all users to use across multiple platforms.

Alongside the exhausted emoji, there are several other unique emojis making their debut, including a root vegetable, a harp, a fingerprint, a purple splatter, a shovel, and a flag representing Sark, a small island in the English Channel. One emoji that stands out is the leafless tree, which may seem simple but carries a profound message. Submitted by Brian Baihaki, this emoji symbolizes the increasing prevalence of drought and the urgent need to address climate change.

The new emoji lineup has already been previewed by Emojipedia, a popular emoji reference site, which released sample images earlier this year. These new emojis are expected to be available across devices in 2025, with operating systems like Apple iOS and Alphabet’s Android each putting their own unique spin on the designs.
