NEOM, the futuristic city being developed in Saudi Arabia, has recently signed a partnership agreement with Asas Al-Muhaileb Company to establish a complex of factories for producing ready-mixed green concrete. This project is estimated to cost up to SR700 million and will include specialized factories that will support construction operations in The Line, which is a cognitive city currently under development in NEOM. Asas Al Muhaileb, a Saudi company specializing in construction and engineering, is in the process of building the complex, which will have a production capacity of more than 20,000 cubic meters of ready-mix green concrete per day.

According to Nadhmi Al-Nasr, CEO of NEOM, the establishment of the concrete factories complex is a significant achievement that reflects the continuous progress in NEOM projects. He also emphasized the importance of local partnerships in implementing this exceptional, sustainable project with high efficiency. The advanced concrete plant complex will utilize the best sustainability solutions, including carbon capture and utilization (CCU) technology, and energy-saving solutions. Most of the concrete produced will be used in the construction of The Line, which is a key component of NEOM’s development.

The new complex is expected to start operations next month, with a fleet of equipment and vehicles to support its activities. By 2025, the complex is set to be fully operational and will create more than 500 new local jobs. This announcement comes at a time when construction work on The Line is progressing rapidly, with approximately 1,000 out of more than 30,000 foundations already completed. The signing of this partnership and the establishment of the concrete factories complex represent a significant milestone in the development of NEOM and highlight the innovative and sustainable approach taken in the construction of this futuristic city.

The partnership with Asas Al-Muhaileb Company demonstrates NEOM’s commitment to collaborating with local businesses and utilizing their expertise in the construction sector. This collaboration not only supports the local economy by creating new job opportunities but also enhances the capabilities of NEOM in implementing sustainable and efficient construction practices. By incorporating carbon capture and utilization technology and energy-saving solutions into the concrete plant complex, NEOM is setting a new standard for environmentally friendly construction projects.

As NEOM continues to make progress in its development, the establishment of the concrete factories complex marks another step towards achieving its vision of becoming a leading sustainable city. The focus on utilizing green concrete and advanced sustainability solutions reflects NEOM’s commitment to environmental stewardship and innovation in urban development. With the support of local partners like Asas Al-Muhaileb Company, NEOM is well-positioned to continue making strides in creating a smart, sustainable, and future-oriented city that sets a new benchmark for urban living.

In conclusion, the partnership agreement between NEOM and Asas Al-Muhaileb Company to establish a complex of factories for producing ready-mixed green concrete is a significant development in the ongoing construction of The Line and other projects within NEOM. This collaboration underscores NEOM’s dedication to sustainable development and its reliance on local expertise to achieve its goals. By incorporating advanced sustainability solutions and creating new job opportunities, NEOM is not only building a futuristic city but also contributing to the growth of the local economy. As construction work on The Line progresses, the completion of the concrete factories complex will play a crucial role in supporting the city’s infrastructure needs and further solidifying NEOM’s reputation as a leader in sustainable urban development.
