NCSA will launch the National Cyber Security Academy this year.

The National Cyber Security Agency (NCSA) in Doha, Qatar is set to launch the National Cyber Security Academy this year, with the goal of improving digital safety capabilities and increasing cyber awareness among government and private entity employees. The academy has been accredited by the Ministry of Education and Higher Education and will serve as a leading regional hub that combines theoretical education with practical training. This hands-on approach will allow trainees to gain real-life experience in dealing with various digital threats. The academy will offer a variety of training programs, including short-term courses and certificates of participation, to help develop the skills of employees in different sectors.

Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi emphasized the Ministry’s commitment to enhancing lifelong learning opportunities in fields such as cybersecurity to boost Qatar’s preparedness for modern technical challenges. NCSA President H E Engineer Abdulrahman bin Ali Al Farahid Al Malki stated that the academy is dedicated to training and qualifying national cadres, providing them with high professional skills that align with internationally recognized standards in cybersecurity. The academy will play a significant role in developing cyber capabilities and knowledge through research, development, and modernization in cybersecurity tools, policies, and strategies.

The National Cyber Security Academy will consist of several departments specializing in different administrative and training activities, including courses, workshops, and discussion groups. Additionally, there will be a laboratory that simulates real-life scenarios of cybersecurity attacks. The main aim of the academy is to enhance cybersecurity and digital safety indicators in Qatar, contribute to the development of a secure cyber environment, and raise awareness to the highest international standards. Moreover, the academy supports the goals of Qatar National Vision 2030 (QNV 2030) in human, social, and continuous development.

By providing practical training and theoretical education in cybersecurity, the National Cyber Security Academy in Doha will help improve the skills and knowledge of employees across various sectors. The academy’s focus on hands-on experience will allow trainees to gain real-world insights into dealing with digital threats, ultimately enhancing Qatar’s readiness to face modern technical challenges. By focusing on practical training and enhancing cybersecurity skills, the academy will play a crucial role in fortifying Qatar’s cybersecurity defenses and ensuring the country is prepared to tackle digital threats effectively. Through its various training programs and initiatives, the academy will help bridge the skill gap in cybersecurity and provide employees with the necessary tools to protect Qatar’s digital infrastructure.
