The by-election in the First Constituency of Muharraq, also known as “Busaiteen,” is set to take place on September 7th, and the electoral campaigns are in full swing. Candidates are gearing up for the vote by opening campaign headquarters and engaging with voters through various means. Seven candidates have confirmed their plans to open their headquarters this weekend and early next week. These candidates include Hamad Al Kooheji, Ebrahim Al Shaikh, Dr Khawla Al Shamsi, Saleh Al Sada, Abdulaziz Al Manaei, and Abdulaziz Qarata. Malallah Al Qahṭani had previously announced his withdrawal from the race, leaving six candidates in contention.

The upcoming weekend is expected to see a surge in campaigning activities as the election date draws closer. Candidates have been actively reaching out to voters through town halls and social media platforms, emphasizing online campaigns to connect with a broader audience. Candidates like Hamad Al Kooheji have finalized their election programs and are preparing to officially launch their campaign headquarters in the coming days. Al Kooheji highlighted his regular communication with the community beyond election cycles, showcasing his dedication to understanding and addressing the needs of the residents in the area.

Ebrahim Al Shaikh’s campaign manager confirmed the readiness of their headquarters, with plans for an official opening date to be determined soon in coordination with other candidates. Similarly, Dr Khawla Al Shamsi announced her intention to open her headquarters this coming Friday, outlining a structured plan for the by-election that includes frequent field visits and town hall meetings with residents. Al Shamsi has been actively engaging with residents through social media and campaign videos, focusing on her professional experience and past accomplishments to gain their support.

Abdulaziz Al Manaei and Saleh Al Sada have also confirmed their plans to open their campaign headquarters closer to the election date, emphasizing direct communication with residents and the use of social media to share their ideas and programs. The candidates are working towards engaging with voters, understanding their concerns, and presenting their plans to address community issues. Additionally, Abdulaziz Qarata highlighted his continuous communication with residents, organizing open meetings to discuss his program and gather feedback.

It is evident that candidates are employing various means to connect with voters in the lead-up to the by-election in Busaiteen. From organizing field visits to posting content on social media platforms, candidates are leaving no stone unturned to reach out to residents and present their election programs. Each candidate has outlined a comprehensive plan to address key issues in the constituency, including unemployment, supporting the economy, empowering women, improving healthcare, education, and housing. By actively engaging with the community and sharing their programs through both offline and online channels, candidates are striving to secure the support of voters.

As the election date approaches, the competition among candidates in the First Constituency of Muharraq is intensifying.
