The Ministry of Municipality in Qatar recently conducted a massive beach clean-up campaign in collaboration with the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change. Three tonnes of random waste were removed from various beaches in Qatar as part of the initiative. The clean-up activities took place in different locations, including Zekreet Beach, Al Wakra Public Beach, Al Dhakira Public Beach, Simaisma Public Beach, and Al Khuwair Beach from September 19 to 21.

The beach clean-up campaign was held in conjunction with World Cleanup Day, with hundreds of participants from civil society institutions coming together to support the Ministry’s efforts. The aim of the campaign was to promote cleanliness and hygiene at beaches and public places across the country. The Ministry plans to continue implementing cleaning campaigns for beaches and islands in Qatar as part of its ongoing efforts to maintain cleanliness and preserve the environment.

Visitors to the beaches and islands in Qatar have been urged to cooperate with the Ministry in maintaining hygiene and cleanliness. They are advised to dispose of waste in the designated containers only and to abide by the Public Hygiene Law No. 18 of 2017. By working together and following the guidelines set by the Ministry, visitors can help keep the beaches and islands in Qatar clean and beautiful for everyone to enjoy.

The clean-up campaign is just one of the many initiatives undertaken by the Ministry of Municipality and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change to protect the environment in Qatar. By removing three tonnes of waste from the beaches, the Ministry is not only improving the aesthetic appeal of these natural areas but also helping to protect the marine ecosystem and wildlife that call these beaches home.

With the support of civil society institutions and dedicated participants, the Ministry’s efforts to clean up the beaches in Qatar have been successful. As more cleaning campaigns are planned for the future, it is important for all visitors to do their part in maintaining cleanliness and hygiene at the beaches and islands. By working together, we can all contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment for future generations to enjoy.

In conclusion, the beach clean-up campaign in Qatar has been a major success, with three tonnes of waste removed from various beaches across the country. The Ministry of Municipality and the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change will continue to work together to implement more cleaning campaigns in the future to maintain the cleanliness and beauty of the beaches and islands in Qatar. By cooperating with the Ministry and following the guidelines for public hygiene, visitors can play a vital role in preserving the environment and ensuring that these natural areas remain clean and pristine for years to come.
