The second edition of the international forum ‘Youth at Hostel’ has concluded in Doha, organized by Qatar Youth Hostels in partnership with the United Nations Children’s Fund (Unicef) under the Ministry of Sports and Youth. The forum brought together young people from various countries including Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Slovenia, Italy, Sudan, Morocco, Bahrain, Egypt, and Palestine. Throughout the forum, participants were divided into committees focusing on different areas such as international organizations, governmental institutions, youth-centered civil societies, and the private sector.

On the final day of the forum, six recommendations were formulated by the committees regarding climate change and its global impact. These recommendations will be presented to Unicef for further action. Participants also had the opportunity to vote on the theme for the third edition of the forum, which will be announced in the coming year. The event was held at the Lusail Multipurpose Hall and saw the participation of 22 young men and women from around the world.

The International Forum ‘Youth at Hostel’ aimed to provide a platform for young people to engage in discussions and collaborate on addressing important global issues. By bringing together participants from different countries and backgrounds, the forum fostered dialogue and cooperation on topics such as climate change. The emphasis on involving youth in decision-making processes highlights the importance of their perspectives and contributions in shaping a better future.

The participation of young people from various countries in the forum reflects the diverse and inclusive nature of the event. By including representatives from different regions, the forum promoted cross-cultural exchange and understanding among participants. The opportunity for young people to work together in committees focused on specific areas allowed for in-depth discussions and the development of actionable recommendations on climate change.

The outcomes of the forum, including the recommendations on addressing climate change, have the potential to make a meaningful impact on global efforts to combat environmental challenges. By engaging with Unicef and other international organizations, the forum participants can contribute to ongoing initiatives and shape future strategies in response to climate change. The success of the second edition of the International Forum ‘Youth at Hostel’ highlights the importance of empowering young people to take an active role in shaping their communities and the world as a whole.

In conclusion, the second edition of the International Forum ‘Youth at Hostel’ served as a platform for young people to come together, exchange ideas, and collaborate on addressing pressing global issues. The event showcased the potential for youth to make a significant impact through their participation and contributions. As the recommendations from the forum are presented to Unicef and future plans for the third edition are announced, the momentum generated by the forum is expected to continue in advancing efforts to address climate change and other relevant challenges.
