His Majesty, King of Jordan, calls for ceasefire in Gaza

The meeting between His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tarik and King Abdullah II Ibn Al Hussein of Jordan at Basman Palace in Amman focused on enhancing bilateral cooperation between Oman and Jordan in various fields. The two leaders discussed ways to further strengthen the fraternal ties and historical relations between the two countries. They also exchanged views on regional and international issues, particularly the current situation in the Gaza Strip and the need for an immediate and permanent ceasefire to protect civilians and deliver humanitarian aid.

Prior to the session, a closed-door meeting was held between His Majesty Sultan Haitham and King Abdullah II. The meeting was attended by high-level officials from both sides, including Deputy Prime Minister for Defence Affairs HH Sayyid Shihab bin Tarik Al Said and Prime Minister of Jordan Dr. Bisher Khasawneh. The discussions focused on promoting cooperation in various sectors and serving the joint interests of Oman and Jordan.

The session highlighted the importance of intensifying efforts to enhance cooperation between Oman and Jordan in areas such as defense, trade, investment, and cultural exchange.
