The Human Resources Development Fund (HADAF) has recently announced an increase in the grace period for submitting requests for employment support in the private sector from 270 days to 330 days. This change will be effective from the date that an employee’s name is added to the records of the General Organization for Social Insurance (GOSI). Additionally, the grace period for submitting support requests will be further extended to 180 days starting from October 21, 2024, after the end of the exemption period that lasted until October 20. The goal of this extension is to ensure that a larger number of private sector establishments in Saudi Arabia can benefit from this program.

The HADAF is committed to maximizing the utilization of its programs and products to facilitate job opportunities for national cadres and encourage the growth and development of businesses in the private sector. Through various training, guidance, and empowerment programs, the HADAF aims to enhance the skills of young Saudi men and women, increase their participation in the labor market, and promote localization efforts. The organization also seeks to strengthen partnerships with relevant entities to facilitate the training, employment, and empowerment of national cadres and enhance their competitiveness and sustainability in the labor market.

Under the Ministry of Human Resources and Social Development, the HADAF introduced the Private Employment Support system to assist Saudi jobseekers in the private sector. Through this system, the HADAF provides financial support for employees’ wages across all full-time positions in the private sector. By offering this support, the HADAF aims to encourage the private sector to actively participate in the localization of the workforce and contribute to the overall development of the country’s economy.

Overall, the HADAF’s initiatives, including the extension of the grace period for submitting employment support requests, reflect its commitment to fostering job creation and economic growth in Saudi Arabia. By providing financial support for private sector employees, the organization aims to empower national cadres, enhance their skills and participation in the labor market, and promote the sustainability and competitiveness of businesses in the country. Through ongoing partnerships with stakeholders and continuous program development, the HADAF plays a crucial role in facilitating employment opportunities and supporting the development of a skilled workforce in Saudi Arabia.
