GCC states urge for strict penalties for those who violate the rights of elderly individuals

The Geneva summit of the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) states recently addressed the critical issues pertaining to the rights of older persons, as highlighted in a statement by HE Dr. Hend Abdulrahman Al Muftah, representing the GCC as the group’s chair. The statement emphasized the importance of ensuring clearer standards for older persons’ legal capacity and ensuring their right to informed consent.
