Mohammed Al Najdi, a 35-year-old Egyptian expat based in Ajman, serves as an inspiration for many. Starting with a monthly salary of Dh3,000, Al Najdi now runs his own construction company, Al Maamar Al Najdi Construction Company, with contracts estimated at Dh4.5 million annually. He attributes his success to the equal opportunities available in the UAE for individuals regardless of gender, race, color, or nationality.

With a civil engineering degree from Mansoura University in Egypt, Al Najdi moved to the UAE in 2018, following the advice of friends who described it as a land of dreams. Despite facing initial challenges and adjustments due to differences in customs, traditions, laws, and regulations between the UAE and Egypt, Al Najdi persevered. He worked during the day, earning Dh3,000 monthly, while studying engineering laws in the evenings to enhance his knowledge and skills.

After his initial job closure, Al Najdi saw an opportunity to start his own business when a sheikh noticed his dedication and entrusted him with construction work. With support from the sheikh, Al Najdi completed the project successfully and embarked on his entrepreneurial journey. Over the next two years, he saved money, working hard to support his family and pursue his dream of establishing a successful construction company, all without resorting to bank loans.

Through hard work, dedication, and commitment to quality and on-time delivery, Al Najdi’s company quickly saw progress and growth within six months of its establishment. Specializing in various contracting services, including villa construction, building works, and decoration, Al Najdi’s company now handles contracts worth approximately Dh4.5 million annually. He emphasizes the support and facilitation available in the UAE for aspiring entrepreneurs to turn their dreams into reality.

Al Najdi emphasizes the significance of seizing opportunities provided by the state in the UAE, highlighting the extensive support available for both Emiratis and expatriates to achieve their entrepreneurial dreams. With perseverance, determination, and a focus on quality and commitment, Al Najdi’s success story serves as a testament to the opportunities present in the UAE for individuals willing to work hard and pursue their ambitions.
