As the new school year approaches, the focus on student safety is increasing, particularly in regards to traffic regulations in school zones. Brigadier Shaikh Abdulrahman bin Abdulwahab Al Khalifa, Director General of the General Directorate of Traffic, has highlighted the importance of collaboration among parents, traffic officers, and school personnel to ensure the safety of students. He has urged parents to work with authorities to adhere to traffic rules and prioritize the safety of children during drop-offs and pick-ups.

The Director General emphasized that student safety is a top priority for the directorate, especially as the school year begins. Traffic police and staff are actively monitoring roads year-round, but additional measures have been put in place to manage traffic during peak times and the busy initial days of school. Awareness sessions and guidance have been organized for all relevant parties to enhance student safety near schools and to ensure a successful return to studies for all students.

Parents play a crucial role in ensuring the safety of their children during school commutes, by following traffic rules and guidelines. Collaboration with traffic officers, community police, and school security staff is essential in creating a safe environment for students. By working together, it is possible to mitigate the risks associated with busy school zones and ensure that students can travel to and from school safely.

Traffic regulations and safety measures are particularly important during school drop-offs and pick-ups, as these times can be hectic and congested. It is vital for parents to be vigilant and patient during these busy periods, prioritizing the safety of students above all else. The directorate has implemented specific strategies to manage traffic flow during peak times and to address any issues that may arise in and around school zones.

With the start of the new school term, the General Directorate of Traffic has taken proactive steps to improve student safety and reduce the risk of accidents in school areas. Through cooperation and communication with parents, traffic officers, and school personnel, it is possible to create a safe and secure environment for students as they return to their studies. By following traffic regulations and being aware of potential hazards, everyone can contribute to ensuring a successful and accident-free school year for all students.

In conclusion, student safety is paramount as the new school year approaches, and collaboration among all relevant parties is essential to create a safe environment for students. By following traffic regulations, being aware of potential risks, and prioritizing the safety of children during school commutes, it is possible to reduce the likelihood of accidents and ensure a successful return to studies for all students. The General Directorate of Traffic is committed to enhancing student safety near schools and has implemented measures to manage traffic flow during peak times, with the goal of creating a secure environment for students as they begin the new school term.
