The 14th edition of the Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work has come to a close, with over 62 submissions received from civil society organisations, volunteer groups, and individuals across Bahrain. The award, organised by the Good Word Society, aims to recognise contributions to voluntary development work and pioneering initiatives within the community. The submissions were processed through the society’s website, with a specialised subcommittee managing the sorting and categorisation based on the award’s different categories.

Ali Buhazza, chairman of the organising committee, highlighted the importance of the award in acknowledging the efforts of individuals and groups in the field of voluntary work. A judging panel consisting of Dr. Faleh Al Rowaili, Dr. Budoor Buhejji, and Mohammed Ahmadi will begin evaluating the submissions on August 31. The Best Bahraini Voluntary Project Award seeks to showcase the creativity of Bahraini youth in addressing societal issues and promoting innovative solutions to developmental challenges.

Open to all age groups within Bahraini society, the award winners will be honoured at the closing ceremony of the Shaikh Isa bin Ali Award for Voluntary Work in September. The ceremony will also celebrate the achievements of pioneers in voluntary work from across the Arab world. The award serves as a platform to showcase the impactful work being done by individuals and groups in Bahrain towards creating positive change in society through volunteer projects.

The Shaikh Isa bin Ali Al Khalifa Award for Voluntary Work plays a crucial role in encouraging and promoting a culture of volunteerism within Bahrain. By recognising and rewarding the efforts of individuals and groups who have made significant contributions to the community, the award aims to inspire others to actively participate in volunteer projects. Through highlighting the creativity and innovation of Bahraini youth, the award also seeks to foster a spirit of entrepreneurship and leadership among the next generation of volunteers.

Voluntary work plays a vital role in addressing social issues and creating positive change within communities. By rewarding and shining a spotlight on the best Bahraini voluntary projects, the award not only acknowledges the hard work and dedication of individuals and groups but also serves as a platform to inspire others to take action. The impact of volunteer projects on society is immense, and the recognition provided by the award helps to showcase the importance of such initiatives in creating a more inclusive and compassionate community.

In conclusion, the closure of the submission period for the Best Bahraini Voluntary Project Award marks an important milestone in the journey towards recognising and celebrating the efforts of individuals and groups in the field of volunteer work. As the judging panel begins its evaluation, the anticipation for the announcement of the winners at the closing ceremony of the Shaikh Isa bin Ali Award for Voluntary Work in September continues to grow. The award serves as a testament to the power of volunteerism in creating positive change and inspiring others to make a difference in society.
