France’s scrum-half and captain, Antoine Dupont, is making a return to lead France in its upcoming autumn test campaign against Japan at Stade de France. Dupont, who previously inspired France to a gold medal in sevens at the Paris Olympics, will be looking to continue his impressive form after marking his return at the club level for Toulouse with a superb hat trick. The team also features versatile players such as winger Damian Penaud and fullback Léo Barré, adding depth to the squad.

Damian Penaud, a right-winger for France, will be looking to extend his national record with a potential 37th international try. With a strong scoring record for his club side Union Bordeaux-Bègles, Penaud brings a significant attacking threat to the team. Alongside him, young talents such as Yoram Moefana and Émilien Gailleton are set to make an impact in the midfield for France, adding a mix of experience and youth to the squad.

Head coach Fabien Galthié has built a team with a strong try-scoring threat throughout the starting lineup. Players like hooker Peato Mauvaka, who boasts nine international tries, contribute to France’s attacking prowess. The team also has depth on the bench, with players like flyhalf Matthieu Jalibert and veteran center Gaël Fickou providing additional options for Galthié to utilize.

Following their match against Japan, France is set to face New Zealand and Argentina at Stade de France, providing an exciting lineup of games for fans to look forward to. The team is aiming to build on their recent performances and continue their success on the international stage. With a mix of experienced players and emerging talents, France is well-positioned to make a strong impact in the upcoming autumn test campaign.

On the other hand, Japan coach Eddie Jones has made six changes to his squad following a recent loss to New Zealand. The team will be looking to bounce back and put up a strong performance against France, led by scrumhalf Naoto Saito and veteran captain Harumichi Tatekawa. With a mixture of experienced players and new faces, Japan will be aiming to challenge France and showcase their capabilities on the field.

Overall, the upcoming match between France and Japan promises to be an exciting and competitive encounter, with both teams bringing their best players and strategies to the field. Fans can expect a thrilling display of rugby as two talented teams go head-to-head in what is sure to be a memorable autumn international rugby union match. France and Japan will be looking to start their autumn test campaigns on a high note and set the tone for what promises to be an action-packed series of matches ahead.
