Shabab Al Ahli continued their winning streak with a hard-fought 2-1 victory against Ajman in a thrilling match at the Rashid bin Saeed Stadium. The match was part of matchweek two of the ADNOC UAE Pro League for the 2024-2025 season. Shabab Al Ahli took the lead in the 26th minute with a goal from Bogdan Planic, and Sardar Azmoun doubled their lead in the 68th minute. Ajman fought back with a goal from Junior Flemmings but was unable to equalize.

The match was filled with excitement, especially in the first half, with Ajman coming close to scoring multiple times. Shabab Al Ahli’s goalkeeper, Hassan Hamza, made crucial saves to keep the score level. The match also saw a penalty decision for Ajman overturned after a VAR consultation. Despite an offside call that nullified an earlier goal, Shabab Al Ahli remained in control in the second half, securing their victory with a solid defensive effort.

Shabab Al Ahli’s win places them third in the UAE Pro League standings with six points, while Ajman is still searching for their first points of the season in 11th place. In another match, Al Nasr delivered a commanding 4-1 win over Bani Yas, with goals from Adel Taarabt, Othmane Boussaid, Ali Mabkhout, and Abdoulaye Toure. Al Jazira also secured a 2-0 victory over Al Orooba, with Rabii scoring the only goal of the game in the 45th minute.

After two rounds of matches, Al Nasr leads the table with six points, followed by Sharjah and Shabab Al Ahli on goal difference. Defending champions Al Wasl, who beat Dibba Al Hisn 1-0, are currently in sixth place. The UAE Pro League promises more exciting matches and fierce competition as the season progresses, with teams vying for the top spot and fans eagerly following their favorite clubs. Stay tuned for more thrilling football action in the upcoming matches.
