Passengers arriving at Dubai airports were recently greeted with a special stamp on their passports commemorating the 15th anniversary of the Dubai Metro. In addition to this, 10,000 Nol cards were distributed to celebrate this milestone. The General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs in Dubai, in partnership with the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA), organized this initiative at Dubai International Airport to highlight the metro network’s crucial role in the city’s transportation system. This initiative aims to enhance the traveller experience, support sustainable urban mobility, and contribute to the development of Dubai’s transport infrastructure.

The distribution of Nol cards at airport terminals 1 and 3 is set to facilitate easy and fast travel between the airport and various destinations within Dubai. This effort aligns with the broader goal of providing a seamless and comprehensive travel experience for passengers, in line with Dubai’s vision of offering modern and sustainable transport solutions. Lieutenant General Mohammed Ahmed Al Marri, Director General of GDRFA Dubai, emphasized that this initiative celebrates the continuous progress and development in the transport sector led by the RTA. The Dubai Metro has become an integral part of the city’s identity, offering a modern means of transportation that aligns with the future aspirations of Dubai and enhances the experience of both residents and visitors.

The metro stations within the airport terminals serve travellers comfortably and efficiently, making it easier to travel between the airport and other destinations in Dubai. Considered one of the most significant achievements in facilitating transportation for both residents and visitors, the Dubai Metro has achieved great success over the past 15 years by offering distinguished and effective transport services. Serving hundreds of thousands of passengers daily, the metro connects them to various areas across the emirate and plays a crucial role in supporting Dubai’s ambitious goals towards a sustainable future.

The initiative to commemorate the Dubai Metro’s 15th anniversary at the airport showcases the city’s commitment to providing modern and efficient transport solutions. The distribution of Nol cards to passengers arriving at the airport terminals not only celebrates this milestone but also aims to improve the overall travel experience for residents and visitors. With the Dubai Metro becoming an integral part of the city’s identity, this initiative reinforces Dubai’s vision of being a smart and sustainable city and highlights the importance of public transport in achieving these goals.

The Dubai Metro’s success over the years is a testament to its effectiveness in meeting the transportation needs of Dubai’s growing population. By offering a reliable and convenient mode of transportation, the metro has become a preferred choice for commuters and tourists alike. The initiative to mark the metro’s anniversary at the airport serves as a reminder of the progress made in enhancing Dubai’s transport infrastructure and the role of public transport in shaping the city’s sustainable future.
