The Palm Jebel Ali project is making significant progress, with the first eight fronds expected to be site-ready by the first quarter of 2025. This development will allow for the commencement of villa infrastructure and civil works on the project. Nakheel, the developer, recently awarded a Dh810-million contract for marine works on Palm Jebel Ali, including dredging, land reclamation, beach profiling, and sand placement to support the construction of villas across all fronds. Jan De Nul Dredging, the contractor responsible for the marine works, is expected to complete the entire scope of work in just over two years.

In addition to the marine works, a new public access road connecting Palm Jebel Ali to Sheikh Zayed Road is also under construction. Last year, the project launched more than 700 units of Phase 1 frond villas, which sold out within hours of being put up for sale. The high demand for these villas indicates a strong market interest in the project. Progress on infrastructure and marine works directly supports the delivery of these homes, which are scheduled for handover in late 2026.

Once completed, the Palm Jebel Ali island will span 13.4km and feature 16 fronds with 91km of beachfront. The palm-shaped artificial archipelago, which is twice the size of Palm Jumeirah, is expected to house approximately 35,000 families. The project’s scale and amenities make it an attractive option for residents and investors looking for a luxurious beachfront community in Dubai.
