The High Criminal Court in Manama has officially recognized a settlement between a gold trader and a female customer who had originally filed a complaint regarding a delay in the delivery of a gold piece. The customer decided to withdraw her complaint after reaching an amicable resolution with the trader. This ruling came after the Public Prosecution had charged the trader with misappropriating funds belonging to the complainant. The case began when the customer reported to the Economic Crimes Division that she had arranged to purchase a gold piece for 640 dinars through an Instagram account operated by the trader.

Attorney Adnan Majid Al Owainati explained that the customer transferred the payment via a financial application with the expectation of receiving the gold piece within 14 days. However, the trader failed to deliver the item within the agreed-upon timeframe, leading the customer to file a complaint against him. During the investigation, the trader revealed that he operates an Instagram account specializing in women’s gold accessories and luxury watches. Customers typically contact him through WhatsApp or Instagram to place orders.

The complainant had contacted the trader for the gold piece, and after they reached an agreement, she made the payment to his bank account. However, when the trader was unable to fulfill the order within the specified time frame, the customer requested a refund. When the trader declined, the customer decided to escalate the matter legally. After hearing the case, the defendant admitted his responsibility for the situation. Attorney Al Owainati submitted a defense memorandum along with a formal withdrawal of the complaint from the claimant, seeking the court’s acknowledgment of the settlement.

The recognition of this settlement by the High Criminal Court highlights the importance of reaching amicable resolutions in legal disputes. It also emphasizes the role of legal representation in facilitating communication and understanding between parties involved in such cases. By acknowledging the settlement and withdrawal of the complaint, the court demonstrates a commitment to fairness and justice in resolving conflicts between individuals. This case serves as a reminder of the significance of transparent and honest communication in business transactions to avoid misunderstandings and conflicts.

The incident involving the gold trader and the female customer underscores the complexities that can arise in modern business transactions conducted through online platforms such as Instagram. It is essential for both traders and customers to clearly communicate their expectations, timelines, and payment terms to avoid disputes. In this case, the trader’s acknowledgment of responsibility and the customer’s willingness to withdraw the complaint show the value of compromise and resolution in legal matters. Ultimately, the recognition of the settlement by the court reflects a commitment to upholding the principles of fairness and justice in resolving disputes.

In conclusion, the settlement between the gold trader and the female customer represents a positive outcome in a legal dispute that arose from a delay in the delivery of a gold piece. The court’s recognition of the settlement underscores the importance of communication, understanding, and compromise in resolving conflicts. It also highlights the role of legal representation in facilitating agreements between parties in legal proceedings. This case serves as a valuable lesson in the importance of transparency and clear communication in business transactions to avoid misunderstandings and disputes. By acknowledging the settlement and withdrawal of the complaint, the court demonstrates its commitment to fairness and justice in resolving conflicts among individuals.
