The General Directorate of Civil Defense in Saudi Arabia is warning citizens and residents to take precautions due to expected heavy rainfall in various regions of the kingdom. The authorities are advising people to seek safe areas and avoid locations prone to flash floods and valleys. They have also cautioned against swimming in these areas and emphasized the importance of following instructions disseminated through various media outlets.

The Makkah region is expected to experience dust-stirring winds along with moderate to heavy rainfall and possible hail. The Riyadh region is also likely to be affected by moderate to heavy rainfall. In addition, the Eastern Region, Najran, Al-Baha, Aseer, and Jazan will see moderate to heavy rainfall, while light to moderate rainfall is expected in the regions of Madinah, the Northern Borders, Qassim, and Hail. The rainfall is expected to continue from Friday through Tuesday in these regions.

It is crucial for residents and citizens to stay informed about weather updates and warnings during this period of expected heavy rainfall. Being prepared and taking necessary precautions can help minimize the risks associated with flash floods and other weather-related dangers. Following the advice of the General Directorate of Civil Defense and adhering to safety guidelines are essential for ensuring the well-being of individuals and communities.

Taking proactive measures such as avoiding swimming in risky areas and seeking safe locations can help prevent accidents and injuries during heavy rainfall. It is important to be aware of potential hazards and to stay vigilant while navigating through areas prone to flash floods. By following the guidelines provided by authorities and staying informed about weather conditions, individuals can protect themselves and their families from harm.

In case of emergencies or situations requiring assistance, residents are advised to contact the relevant authorities for help. The General Directorate of Civil Defense is prepared to respond to emergencies and provide support to those in need during the period of heavy rainfall. It is important to stay connected and to reach out for assistance if required to ensure a prompt and effective response to any emergencies that may arise.

As the heavy rainfall continues in certain regions of Saudi Arabia, it is crucial for residents to remain cautious and vigilant. By staying informed about weather updates, following safety guidelines, and taking necessary precautions, individuals can reduce the risks associated with flash floods and other weather-related emergencies. The General Directorate of Civil Defense’s warnings and recommendations should be taken seriously to ensure the safety and well-being of everyone in the affected regions.
