Vice Admiral Abdullah Khamis Al Raisi, Chief of Staff of the Sultan’s Armed Forces (SAF), recently met with General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff in the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The meeting took place at the SAF Chief of Staff’s office at Al Murtafa’a Garrison, where an official reception ceremony was held to honor the Pakistani official. During the ceremony, the Guard of Honour gave a military salute accompanied by military music, and the guest inspected the guard of honor.

Vice Admiral Abdullah warmly welcomed General Sahir Shamshad Mirza, and the two sides engaged in discussions about matters of common interest. The meeting was attended by Brigadier Badr Nassir Al Kharousi, Director General of the Joint Military Intelligence and Preventive Security at COSAF, as well as the Military Attaché at the Pakistani Embassy in Muscat. This meeting reflects the strong and longstanding relationship between Oman and Pakistan, particularly in the realm of military cooperation and strategic partnerships.

The visit by General Sahir Shamshad Mirza highlights the ongoing collaboration between Oman and Pakistan in the defense sector. The two countries have a history of working together on various military initiatives, including joint military exercises and training programs. By engaging in discussions and exchange of views, both sides can enhance their understanding of regional security challenges and opportunities for cooperation.
