The Civil Service and Government Development Bureau (CGB) and Mada Assistive Technology Center recently signed a cooperation agreement to enhance digital access and develop an inclusive work environment for all employees, particularly those with disabilities. The agreement aims to implement the best international practices in civil service and government development. Yaqoub Saleh Al Ishaq, in charge of Civil Service Affairs at the CGB, emphasized the importance of improving digital access through the adoption of the National Employment Platform (Kawader) and (Mawared) to facilitate access to government services. This partnership will provide technological support to enable employees with disabilities to perform their work efficiently and without obstacles. Additionally, the cooperation will focus on training human resources departments in government agencies on best practices in employing and supporting people with disabilities.

Amani Al Tamimi, Acting CEO of Mada, expressed excitement about the strategic partnership between Mada Center and the CGB, which aims to build new capacities in employing people with disabilities in government agencies. She believes this partnership is a significant step towards creating a more inclusive society where everyone has equal opportunities. Mada views employing people with disabilities as not only a moral duty but also an investment in human competencies and capabilities that can enhance productivity and innovation in government institutions. The partnership will provide necessary training for human resources officials to create a culture that supports best practices in civil service and government development. Mada hopes that this collaboration will lead to a positive change in the work culture within government agencies and increase the number of people with disabilities benefiting from job opportunities.

The agreement between the CGB and Mada is focused on enhancing digital access and the adoption of digital platforms to empower employees with disabilities in their work environment through the use of assistive technology. The partnership is aimed at creating a comprehensive work environment that supports employees with disabilities and promotes a culture of inclusivity and equal opportunities within government agencies. By providing the necessary training and support, the agreement seeks to build the capabilities of the workforce and enable employees with disabilities to perform their work efficiently. This cooperation is seen as a model that can be replicated nationwide to contribute to Qatar’s vision of building an equal society for all.

Through the partnership between the CGB and Mada, efforts will be made to enhance the skills of human resources departments in government agencies to effectively employ and support people with disabilities. By training officials on best practices, the cooperation aims to create a work culture that embraces diversity and inclusivity. Mada believes that this collaboration will lead to a positive change within government institutions and increase the participation of people with disabilities in the job market. The goal is to establish a supportive environment that enables employees with disabilities to excel in their roles and contribute to the overall productivity and innovation of government agencies. The agreement is expected to pave the way for a more inclusive society where everyone has equal access to employment opportunities and is valued for their contributions.
