In line with the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority’s (BTEA) commitment to providing exceptional tourism experiences, a special programme of tours was organised for the delegations participating in the International School Sport Federation (ISF) Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024. The initiative aimed to showcase Bahrain’s rich history and culture, enhancing participants’ experiences and solidifying Bahrain’s status as a premier tourist destination.
CEO of BTEA, Ms. Sara Ahmed Buhiji, emphasized that hosting the ISF Gymnasiade Bahrain 2024 aligns with the Authority’s strategy to promote sports tourism as a fundamental component of the 2022-2026 tourism strategy. Sports tourism not only elevates Bahrain’s global sports destination status but also promotes cultural and athletic exchanges among participating nations.

Tour participants also had the privilege of visiting Bahrain International Circuit, a prominent sports venue hosting events like the annual Formula 1 races. Additionally, they explored Bahrain National Museum, offering an extensive overview of Bahrain’s history and civilization throughout the ages.
