Bahraini Women Injured in Iraq to be Repatriated to Bahrain on Sunday

The Bahraini Embassy in Iraq has confirmed that two Bahraini citizens injured in a car accident will be returning to Bahrain for further treatment. The embassy, in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Gulf Air, arranged for the women to receive necessary medical care during their journey back to Bahrain. Both women are currently receiving treatment at Imam Ali Hospital in Najaf, with one woman requiring over 45 days of medical care for a pelvic fracture, and the other woman undergoing emergency surgery for a fractured shoulder joint.

Ambassador Khalid Al Mansour stated that both women are in stable condition and fit to travel. Gulf Air has scheduled their return flight at the earliest possible time to ensure their comfort and well-being during the journey. The embassy has been closely monitoring the situation since the accident and is committed to providing assistance to Bahraini citizens during their stay in Iraq.

The women’s injuries were a result of a car accident that occurred last Wednesday. Immediate arrangements were made with Gulf Air to facilitate their transportation back to Bahrain. The embassy’s priority is to ensure the safe return of the injured women and to provide them with the necessary care and support during their journey. The embassy has reaffirmed its commitment to assisting Bahraini citizens in Iraq and is actively working to ensure their well-being.
