The Royal Medical Services and the Bahrain Trust Foundation have teamed up to launch the “Military Hospital Micro School” within the pediatric ward and children’s clinic of a hospital in Manama. The initiative aims to provide educational support to young patients during their hospital stay by helping them continue their daily activities, lessons, and homework. The event was attended by Her Highness Shaikha Hessa bint Khalifa Al Khalifa, showcasing the importance of continuous education for children, especially those facing health challenges.
Shaikha Hessa expressed her gratitude for Her Royal Highness Princess Sabika bint Ibrahim Al Khalifa’s support in creating an environment conducive to learning. The newly established spaces are equipped with modern educational tools and technologies to ensure that children can benefit from education while receiving medical treatment. This initiative is crucial in enhancing the psychological well-being of children and speeding up their recovery, showing the effective collaboration between different organizations in Bahrain.
The success of the Military Hospital Micro School is expected to inspire other health institutions in Bahrain to adopt similar initiatives to align with the kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals of advancing education quality and investing in human capital. Dr. Fatima Mohammed Al Blooshi, Chairwoman of the Board of Trustees of Bahrain Trust Foundation, expressed her pride in the launch of the third hospital school affiliated with the foundation. This project reflects the foundation’s commitment to providing a supportive educational environment for children, especially those facing health challenges.
The initiative integrates education and healthcare into a unified framework, offering children the opportunity to continue their learning and development while receiving necessary medical care. The project at King Hamad University Hospital has already received positive feedback from young patients and their families, indicating a significant step forward in supporting the educational needs of children undergoing medical treatment. The cooperation and partnership between government institutions and the Bahraini people have played a crucial role in the success of this initiative.
Overall, the Military Hospital Micro School represents a significant milestone in the education and healthcare sectors in Bahrain, showcasing the importance of continuous education for children facing health challenges. The project’s success highlights the effectiveness of collaboration between different organizations and the benefits of integrating education and healthcare for the well-being and recovery of young patients. This initiative is a testament to Bahrain’s commitment to advancing education quality and investing in human capital, aligning with the kingdom’s Vision 2030 goals.
