Bahrain is gearing up to host Vedhik Pentathlon 2024, one of the largest educational competitions in the Middle East. Organized by Vedhik Al Schools in collaboration with Santamonica Study Abroad, LearningEngines, Bobsco Edu, and PECA International, the Olympiad will bring together over 5,000 students from schools across the country on November 2, 2024, at Adhari Park, Manama. This event signifies a major milestone for education in Bahrain as students from grades 6 to 12 will compete in five subject-specific Olympiads to test their knowledge and abilities in various disciplines.

The Vedhik Pentathlon 2024 aims to provide a platform for students to showcase their competencies and skills while promoting academic excellence and friendly competition. Dr. Maryam Al Dhaen, Member of Parliament, emphasized the significance of such competitions in evaluating student abilities and potential for the future. She highlighted the importance of educational initiatives and advocacy for fostering a solid foundation for the country’s future growth.

Yusuf Yaqoob Lori, Director of Information & Follow-Up, Capital Governorate, commended Bahrain’s commitment to education through hosting an event of this magnitude. International Olympiads not only highlight student talent but also underscore the value of partnerships like the one with Vedhik Al Schools in driving educational progress. The Vedhik Pentathlon will feature five Olympiads covering different subjects simultaneously, providing an enriching experience for students from diverse backgrounds.

James Mattam, CEO and Co-Founder of Vedhik Group of Educational Institutions, emphasized that the Pentathlon 2024 is more than just a competition; it serves as a platform for students to learn, grow, and reach new heights in a space of healthy competition. Boban Thomas, Founder and CMD of Bobsco Holding WLL, noted that the event’s international scope enhances Bahrain’s standing as an educational leader. The collaboration with Vedhik Al Schools and the introduction of international Olympiads will attract bright minds and spark innovation in the country’s educational landscape.

Participants in the Vedhik Pentathlon 2024 will be divided into three categories based on their grade levels, with each category competing in the five subject-specific Olympiads. These Olympiads include English, Mathematics, Science, Environmental Science, and General Knowledge, designed to test and enhance students’ knowledge and skills in these areas. Mr. C. M. Junith, CEO of PECA International, expressed enthusiasm for the event, highlighting that the Vedhik Pentathlon 2024 will be the largest Olympiad ever held in the region, featuring five simultaneous Olympiads. Registration for the event is now open for students and schools through the official website, offering a fun and challenging experience for all participants.
