Bahrain has recently launched their National Summary Data Page (NSDP) to publish financial, economic, and demographic data in an effort to enhance transparency and integrate statistical information. The platform aims to facilitate the exchange of statistical and descriptive data to improve governance, attract investment, and support government efforts. His Excellency Shaikh Salman bin Khalifa Al Khalifa, the Minister of Finance and National Economy, highlighted Bahrain’s commitment to strengthening its international status under the leadership of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa.
Shaikh Salman emphasized the importance of comprehensive data in improving governance and attracting investment, especially with the support of His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister. The Finance Minister also stressed the ongoing cooperation with the International Monetary Fund (IMF) to apply the highest international standards. He commended the collaborative efforts between Team Bahrain and the IMF that led to the launch of the NSDP.
The NSDP is accessible through Bahrain’s Open Data Portal and supports data exchange through Statistical Data and Metadata Exchange (SDMX). This platform also aligns with Bahrain’s efforts to meet the IMF’s Special Data Dissemination Standard (SDDS).
