Minister of State for International Cooperation HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater has strongly condemned the recent brutal attack on the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) by Israel, which resulted in injuries. She emphasized that this aggression violates international humanitarian law and disregards UN Security Council Resolution 1701. In a statement to Qatar News Agency (QNA), Her Excellency called on the international community to take decisive action to stop Israel from targeting UN forces and prevent further attacks that threaten international peace and security.

HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater warned that failure to address these repeated Israeli aggressions could lead to increased tensions in the region and undermine global efforts to de-escalate the situation. She stressed the importance of holding Israel accountable for its actions and ensuring that such attacks do not happen again. The Minister reaffirmed Qatar’s unwavering support for any international efforts aimed at enhancing the unity, security, and stability of Lebanon, promising full support to the Lebanese people in facing the consequences of Israeli aggression.

The State of Qatar is committed to standing by Lebanon and supporting its efforts to maintain peace and stability in the region. Qatar will spare no effort in assisting Lebanon in dealing with the aftermath of the attack on UNIFIL and will work towards preventing similar incidents from occurring in the future. Minister Al Khater’s statement underscores Qatar’s dedication to upholding international law and protecting the rights of UN peacekeeping forces operating in conflict zones.

This latest aggression by Israel against UNIFIL highlights the ongoing challenges facing peacekeeping missions around the world. Qatar’s condemnation of the attack demonstrates its commitment to promoting a peaceful and secure environment in Lebanon and the wider region. The Minister’s call for international action to stop Israeli aggression is an important step towards preventing further violations of international law and ensuring the safety of UN peacekeepers operating in conflict zones.

In conclusion, Minister of State for International Cooperation HE Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater’s condemnation of the attack on UNIFIL sends a strong message to Israel and the international community about the need to uphold international law and protect the rights of peacekeepers. Qatar’s support for Lebanon and its commitment to preventing further attacks on UN forces demonstrates its dedication to maintaining peace and stability in the region. The Minister’s statement serves as a reminder of the importance of international cooperation in addressing security threats and upholding peace in conflict zones.
