Al Arabi SC made history by securing their first-ever Arab Clubs Men’s Basketball title. In the final of the prestigious tournament, they triumphed over Al Ittihad with a score of 81-71, led by the stellar performance of Mustafa Rashed and Victor Rudd. This victory made Al Arabi only the second Qatari team to win the Arab title, following in the footsteps of Al Rayyan who achieved the same feat back in 2014. The Club Chairman, Sheikh Tamim bin Fahd Al Thani, expressed his pride in the team’s accomplishment and dedicated the victory to the loyal fans who supported them throughout the journey.

Mustafa Rashed and Mustafa Fouda of Al Arabi were recognized with individual awards at the end of the Championship. Rashed was named the Most Valuable Player of the tournament, while Fouda won the Top Scorer award. Al Arabi’s Tunisian coach, Hatem Mamlouk, praised the dedication and resilience of his players for their hard work and planning that led to the historic win. Despite facing a defeat in the group stage against Al Ittihad, Al Arabi showcased their strength by only losing one match in the 12-team tournament and defeating Kuwaiti team Kazma to reach the final.

The path to the championship was not an easy one for Al Arabi. After suffering a defeat against Al Ittihad in the group stage, they bounced back with victories over other teams to secure a spot in the final. In the quarter-final, Al Arabi defeated fellow Qatari team Al Gharafa, while Kazma advanced to the semi-final after defeating Al Qadsiah. In the final showdown, Al Arabi emerged victorious over Al Ittihad, marking a historic moment for the club and Qatar basketball.

The joyous celebrations and proud moments continued for Al Arabi as they basked in the glory of their Arab Clubs Men’s Basketball title win. The team’s collective effort and the dedication of players, technical, and administrative staff were highlighted by the Club Chairman, emphasizing their commitment to achieving more success in the future. With the support of loyal fans and the hard work put in by the team, Al Arabi’s triumph in the Championship served as a testament to their determination and skill on the basketball court.

Al Arabi’s success in the tournament was a culmination of months of hard work and planning, as mentioned by their coach, Hatem Mamlouk. The team’s ability to compete with the best in the Arab world was proven in their performances throughout the Championship, leaving a lasting impression on basketball enthusiasts. The recognition of individual brilliance through awards for players like Rashed and Fouda added to the team’s achievements, showcasing their talent and dedication to the sport. The third-place play-off also saw a competitive matchup, with Sporting of Egypt emerging victorious over Kazma SC.

In conclusion, Al Arabi SC’s historic win in the Arab Clubs Men’s Basketball Championship was a momentous occasion for the club, Qatar basketball, and their loyal fans. The team’s perseverance, dedication, and resilience were evident throughout the tournament, ultimately leading them to lift the prestigious title. With individual awards, recognition for their efforts, and praise from their coach, Al Arabi’s triumph signifies a bright future for the team and a continuation of their success in the world of basketball.
